My passion for ministry is to equip the body of Christ to do the work of the ministry. Nothing excites me more than to see lost people come to Christ. As a young boy attending church, I began to feel God speak to me about my need to be saved and then later at age 11 at the Big Creek Baptist Church, I heard God call me to preach the gospel. After pastoring churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and serving Oklahoma Baptists on the convention level, I am thankful for the opportunity to return home to Big Creek and serve as pastor to the most wonderful group of people in the world. Together, we want to share Jesus with our friends and family all over Leflore County.
I believe that our youth are under attack today from all sides. I have a passion to see young men and women come to know God, grow in God, & have fun and fellowship with fellow believers along the way. I have been raised in Church and accepted Jesus's free gift of salvation at the age of 7. It broke my heart after youth to see how many of my friends left the Church and the faith. I want to teach youth about the amazing gift of salvation and joy that come from Christ. Although we will have loads of fun along the way, I hope and pray that when they look back on their time in youth a closer walk with Christ is what they remember. I am both honored and blessed to be apart of Big Creek Baptist Church, and look forward to seeing all God has instore.
